Dynamic Paintings Feature the Energy of Fencers in Motion

Brooklyn-based Canadian visual artist Aaron Li-Hill creates dynamic images by blurring the lines between illustration, sculpture, graffiti, graphic design, painting, and drawing. The results are works filled with an animated power that emanates from each piece.
In just one week, on November 8, 2014, Li-Hill's first solo show will open at White Walls in San Francisco. The collection will feature the artist's study of a fencing culture portrayed in motion. The work ranges from a single subject to pairs of fencers lunging at each other with dueling swords. The artist uses an energetic approach to produce the abstract works, which represent the movements of fencers in blurry splatters of acrylic, aerosol, and oil paints, or India ink, on textured paper.
